Map This

So, the NOPD might not quite have a handle on crime, but it does have a spiffy new interactive map on its website. Plug in your address, and you can see a 30-day graphic report of all crime in a one-mile radius of your place.

Here's my map, which I suppose is pretty gratifying in some ways. Sure, there were 140-something incidents but the vast majority were petty theft and auto theft. Reinforces that the neighborhood is fairly safe -- well, as safety goes in New Orleans. I could only find one "M for Murder" in the 'hood.
